Research and Technology to Locate HMAS AE1

HMAS AE1 (Submarine Institute) was Australia’s first submarine and our first loss in WWI. For 103 years the location of the submarine was not known and the reasons for its loss can only be speculation.

After many years of searching the wreck of HMAS AE1 (Sea Museum) was found in December 2017.
